Company History

Within five decades Würth International has grown from a one-man company to a company with more than 300 employees. Founded in 1964 as Reca Union in Chur, the main activities at that time have been extended to include additional focus areas.

Nowadays, Central Purchasing is one of the most important main pillars of Würth International AG Furthermore, Management Services carry out a very important function within the scope of administration tasks.
In the mid nineties, regional sourcing centres in North America and Asia were established. This enables us to serve our customers even better and optimally meet their needs.
Almost at the same time, our logistic centres in Landquart and Mezzovico were founded. This enabled us to carry out deliveries even more quickly and reliably. Our subsidiary in Bratislava (Slovakia) provides warehouse and weighing services for the entire Würth group.
